Societies are formed to accumulate wealth. No matter how wealth is measured or managed, when a group realizes that it does not increase, the social motive is lost, and cohesion falls apart. Jesus proposed a new society, the Kingdom of God, and on wealth, said: “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal” Mat 6:20. This statute defines an economy different from worldly societies and distinguishes the Kingdom of God. When we commit to Caesar's system, we are unable to participate in the divine society. So, do not be seduced by wealth according to the world, "those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them..." 1Co 7:31. May your heart and that of your followers value only what God values. This is biblical leadership.
